Monterrey Mexico

I had the chance to visit Monterrey, in northern Mexico, and it offered a completely different kind of experience—modern, energetic, and surrounded by dramatic natural landscapes.

The city itself is big and dynamic, with a mix of sleek architecture, buzzing nightlife, and a strong sense of regional identity. Downtown had a great mix of museums, plazas, and street life, while neighborhoods like San Pedro felt more upscale and polished. The food was a definite standout—tacos, grilled meats, and local specialties like cabrito were everywhere, and each meal felt bold and full of flavor. I also loved how close nature was to the city.

Even from the heart of Monterrey, you’re never far from mountain views, and places like Parque Fundidora and the nearby Chipinque Ecological Park offered a chance to breathe and take it all in. It’s a place that blends industry and culture with a deep appreciation for both food and the outdoors—definitely worth the visit.
